| Description | Assess change requests from customer and establish design parameters based on functional requirement. Responsible for concept proposal, detail design, parts drawing generation and design verification. Responsible for design documentation guided by Product Life Cycle Process and procedure. Responsible to compile drawings and submit Bill of Material to Engineering Database. Interface with vendors to make component selections Interact with purchasing to obtain materials, resolve delivery problems and cost issues during prototype design and build Participate in prototype build and testing Liaise with manufacturing engineers to support product ramp build and test Implement enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures to support Field Service or Application Engineers on field related issue Conduct site survey to collect field data and investigate issues reported when necessary Provide support to technical writer on equipment and maintenance manual preparation and updating Prepare weekly report to provide progress update on tasks assigned. Travel from time to time for new system development and design improvements on existing systems erform other related duties as assigned from time to time |
| Education | Degree from recognized university or college in Mechanical Engineering |
| Experience | 2-5 years practical working experience in system design for industrial automation and/or multi-function equipment applications. Experience of working in clean-room environment is a plus Knowledge Location: North |
